Goč in winter: by quad through the snowy mountain
Fifteen kilometres from Vrnjačka Banja, Goč turns into a quiet, snowy mountain in winter. What a quad tour in the snow is like, what to wear and what else to do when the snow falls.
In summer, Goč is a mountain of forest trails, picnics and Lake Selište. In winter it changes completely: the conifers bow under the snow, the forest roads become white tunnels, and the silence is so deep you can hear the snow crunch under the wheels. All of it just 15 kilometres from Vrnjačka Banja.
A protected mountain
Goč is home to the "Goč – Gvozdac" Special Nature Reserve, protected since 2014. Its forests are mostly beech and fir, and for decades the mountain has been a teaching base of the Faculty of Forestry. That is why Goč has something rare: a mountain that has been preserved rather than built up.

A quad tour in the snow
We run quad tours all year round, and the winter ones are special. The quads are automatic and seat two, so no experience is needed: everyone gets a short training before setting off, and the guide stays with the group the whole time. A 30-minute ride is enough for a first taste, and longer tours follow forest roads to viewpoints over the spa town and the valley.
In winter we always adapt the route and length of the tour to the snow and the state of the roads. Safety comes before the plan, so before setting off we agree on what is doable that day.

What to wear
- Layers: thermal underwear, a warm mid layer and a wind- and waterproof jacket
- Waterproof trousers and warm, waterproof shoes or boots
- Gloves, a hat and a neck warmer, as it is colder when riding than standing
- Sunglasses: snow on a sunny day is very bright
- Spare socks and dry clothes in the car for the way back
What else to do on Goč in winter
On the Kraljevo side of the mountain, at Dobre Vode, there are ski slopes, but whether the ski area is open depends on the season and the snow, so check before you go. If you want proper skiing, our ski school runs on Kopaonik: professional instructors teach kids and adults, from the first steps on snow to confident skiing.
For those who love winter walks, the forest roads of Goč have a special beauty under the snow. Just stay on marked trails and set off early, as it gets dark quickly in winter.
